Slow and Fast‏

This week went super fast and super slow!

So first half went by fast. We celebrated edna's birthday!!!!! It was perfect! She cried when we gave her her bday present... I love her!!!!!!

Sent soeur hales off and then got soeur bernhisel! And then it went slow. I think it has to do with the fact that we were visiting everyone before soeur hales left.... Also everyone's on vacation. So like we did a lot of finding.

Which believe it or not, I missed! We've been so busy impairs area that I haven't done some solid finding. But we did it. So yeah that's been about our week. Soeur dechesne finally got a rdv with the u.s. embassy for August 7th! Which means, I GET TO STAND ON U.S. SOIL! Just you know a little excited about that!

So kinda a funny story.... Wednesday I get a call from some clinic office saying I need to be tested for tuberculosis, I was super confused... So then they explained that someone in my entourage has had it recently and I need to be tested for it but it's free. Then I remember hearing that elder perry, my district leader from 4 transfers ago just got it. So I set a rdv, and then called the mission nurse. Sure enough anyone that had contact with him in the past 6 months has to be tested... So I thought that I should be fine.

But wait it gets better! So that same day (literally 2 hours later) Edna calls and said that she had gotten an email from soeur tehoiri saying that she has tuberculosis.... But she doesnt. she's going to be tested tomorrow. But my rdv at the doctors is for Tuesday, so we'll see then. Edna got the shot on Friday so she'll be getting the results sometime today...

Really hope I don't have it, cause that's just super annoying and bad because I also live with 4 other soeur and let's not even think about how many people I come in contact each day.

I love you all! Have a great week!

Surprise surprise!!!!!

Hey so transfers....
So I'm staying in Antony! So I'll be staying for 7 1/2 months (5 transfers). And you'll never guess who my new companion is... So soeur dechesne is staying obviously till she gets her visa, but soeur hales replacement is.... Soeur Bernhisel my MTC companion, so weird!
okay so i'm excited to stay for different reasons, but i'm also a little upset because i feel like i've been here forever. Also Paris is so fast paced, and i'm constantly exhausted, so i would have loved to have a smaller slow paced ville.

But what's done is done and i'm looking forward to the next six weeks!
But besides that this week was good! Our amazing ami Marie is back on the face of the earth. We had set a baptismal date with her 6 weeks ago and then she accepted to be a nanny for a family 24/7 so we had to drop the date. But last week was her first week back after the job and we reset a date with her! She'll be baptized September 6th which is actually the Sunday after transfers when I'll officially leave Antony. But that's OK, she's awesome and her desire to be baptized has grown even more since she's been gone!!
So that was pretty much my week.
Don't know how to feel about sending soeur hales home... With soeur t it was hard because we had been together for 3 transfers. With soeur hales its hard because 1 transfer wasnt enough! We get along so well and I loved being with her. Its just not fair that we only got 6 weeks (and they were super fast weeks)
Today for pday we went UP l'Arc de Triomphe! so that was super fun and cool!!!!!

Well I hope you all have an awesome week! I love you all!

Legality week‏

hey so this week was interesting. so the reason why I call it Legality week:
first off for my year mark on the mission we did my legality! So we show up and apparently a bunch of others from my group decide to do the same thing... But anyway, get there and realized that i didn't print out one of the documents... So one missionary tells me i should go up say i have all the papers i can get a number. Then in the hour that I have waiting for the number to be called, run get the paper from the mission office. So I get up and the guy gives me a mail in application. So I didnt have to worry about not having the paper. SO anyway, I hope the mail in process is as fast as just doing it the day of.
On the other hand, we also spend a good amount of time each day doing soeur dechesnes legality... We don't even know how to apply for an american visa and the office doesnt either. They just give us the documents and we have to figure it out for ourselves... which is why we spent so much time on it because it took 4 try's before we got the online application right. can I just say i'm so grateful to be a U.S. Citizen and will never have to apply for an American Visa
So that pretty much sums up our week. obviously we taught Amis, but we barely even had time to see them with all the legality we did.
But on the bright side (Or sad side, it just depends on which way you want to take it)... I HIT MY YEAR MARK!!!! So so weird. To celebrate it, we went to consecration hill, which is where they took us our first day in France to fix goals for our mission. So so cool. And obviously I took cute little photos! (See below)
Bonne semaine et calins et gros gros bisous!!!!!

Happy 4th of July!!!!!!

Hey so false alarm...
The Ipad's were stolen, but the mission just took the ipads from companionships that already had one each. so now at least every companionship in the mission has an Ipad. which didnt really affect our equipe because soeur hales wouldnt have gotten one anyways and soeur dechesne isnt part of our mission. So originally  it was just going to be me that got the ipad anyway.
Well this week was super fun! So lets talk about the weather... It got up to 110°F. Its also very humid here and there is NO WIND in Paris. So that was fun. We drank lots of water and I stayed hydrated... But soeur hales got dehydrated while on exchanges. Just to let you know if your dehydrated don't drink 3 liters of water in less than 3 hours....  you end up throwing up. So she came back not feeling well.... Also soeur hales gave a formation the day before as an "stl" because one of the stls had heat stroke. She was given like a 10 minute notice to teach 4 zones... so yeah the struggle was real. After fasting I felt super light headed even though i drank water during the fast...
So this week we made as many rdv as we could so we weren't out in the sun.
But lets talk about the 4th of July! First of all we started with breakfast: pancakes with real maple syrup and hash browns. we also sang every american song possible and said the pledge of allegiance. And for that and the star spangled banner everyone looked at my shirt (see photo below). For lunch we had a picnic next to the Statue of Liberty in Paris!!!!! Not as big as the real one, but still super cool and as patriotic as we could get for France. I loved it! And it was my first time going there, so like i chose the right first time to go! Pictures are down below!
Hope you have a great week! And I love you all!!!!!!!
Bisous!

L'Opéra

Hey this is gonna be short because i have 15 minutes before my time runs out and i don't want to by anymore....
So guess what???? Not getting Ipads this week. They got stolen from the mission home. so now half the mission has them and the other half doesn't.... so that's fun!
this week was a week. We went to the opera today so that was super fun! just to let you know.... This is the opera house where phantom of the opera takes place! i also got the book in french for 5 euros at the bookstore!
speaking of books we spent one of our lunch breaks this week at a book marché where i bought 5 books for 10 euros. which included the second and third lord of the rings (couldnt find the first) and the little prince, which is originally french!!!!!! so yeah just adding to my book collection.
Okay i love you all hope you have a great week!
