Adventure is out there!

Family

This week was awesome!

So Tuesday we had district meeting in Metz, it's beautiful there! But sadly it takes up our whole day... We leave at 8:30 and get home at 4:30....

Wednesday was a crazy busy day.

Thursday we went on exchanges in Paris!!!! So we ended up getting the dumbest detour to Paris. Instead of taking a 20 min train ride to Nancy and then an hour and a half train ride to Paris, we took an hour and a half train ride to Epernay, a small ville out in the middle of nowhere, waited an hour and then took another hour and a half train ride into Paris... But they ordered it for us cause it was the only train at the time we wanted.

But it ended up being super pretty! And the second train was what I like to call a Harry Potter train! See video in other email

But exchanges were amazing! Especially since my stls are the stls that I lived with in Paris! So I got to go back, be companions with one of them and then sleep in my old apartment. It was so nice! I loved it! I had a great time with Soeur Tippett, we just had a lot of fun together. And it was nice to catch up after one week of not being together.

Sunday was stake conference so that was super fun! We slept over with the Nancy and Mulhouse soeurs.

Basically it was a crazy week! And next week will be too! We have zone conference in Paris again, so another trip to Paris which means another sleepover in Nancy!

Today we went grocery shopping and there was a rat in the store! It was hilarious! Oh my goodness he attacked the workers trying to catch it. Soeur Clements kicked it... Literally laughing the whole time. Who knew my luck with rats and Toul! I can't attach a video because it's to big. But it's up on the Dropbox. And I tried to take a video of the video on my camera. Sorry for the bad quality

Today we visited Touls museum.... It's a joke! They literally have rooms with empty display cases, haha yay Toul!

Well have an amazing week!

1. The most perfect photo I've ever taken, this basically describes the small towns around Toul. Beautiful houses and lots of cats!

OH RATS

Hey family!

I love Toul! It's so small and cute!

Okay, I didn't write out a draft before so it'll be a little short.

Okay so I have been shunned out to the middle of no where... And I love it.

So first morning in the apartment I'm sitting downstairs (we sleep up
in a loft) and all the light are off but I see a shadow at the top of
the stairs. So I tell Soeur Clements that I think I see a mouse or a
rat up their, she comes and looks over but of course by then it's
gone... So she doesn't believe me. Fast forward, were about to start
comp studies. Literally about to start singing and we hear something
from behind the desk and then something jumps at me! A rat jumped out
from behind my desk runs under my chair and across the floor, under my
bed and then... It jumps off and literally falls down to the first
floor. Haha we laughed about that part, but by the time we were no
longer shocked and went downstairs we couldn't find him... But we
found a hole in the bathtub, the hole is to let the pipes go in but a
rat could fit in there... So we called our district leader, he told us
to call the senior couple in charge of the apartment and they told us
to by a rat trap and some poison... So we did. Anyway... We still
haven't found him. We found rat poop on Saturday so he's still around.
Don't worry we're being very careful about everything.

Okay so miracle happened my first night! We stopped by an ami who had
a baptismal date for Saturday, but they hadn't answered all summer.
And they answered! And she said she still wanted to be baptized by her
husband (less active) and then they told us that they had a friend
that wanted all the brochures and wanted to be baptized also. So we
set a rdv to see them with their friend and the lesson went great!
Aurore (ami) testified the entire time of the restoration to her
friend (Serge) and at the end we fixed a baptismal date for both of
them for the seventh of November and Eric (husband) is going to
baptize both of them! So cool!

But anyway the branch is so great and so helpful with everything!
They're so nice. There are about 30 members... Which means like 6
families and a few other members. It's a cute little chapel.

Well that's about it! I had a great week and I hope you did too! Je
vous aime gros bisous!

troisième ville!

Hey family! So I'm out of Antony! And I'm going to Toul!

So Toul is a tiny town in the east of France... There is no public transport.... So we have a CAR! It is the only Soeur ville in all the mission to have a car. Also we're the only companionship in the ville. Okay so I won't be driving because my u.s. drivers license is only valid for 1 year in France so that's up... But I still get to be in a car!

So yeah that's the news on the ville! I'm super excited! My new companion is someone that I've met like twice and each time I thought "I want to be her companion!" Her name is Soeur Clements and she's my first companion younger than me (besides Soeur dechesne).

Also Soeur pettingill opened the ville for soeurs before she went to angers. And Soeur asay was in Toul before becoming my stl. So I've only heard amazing things! Did I mention it's a branch? Well it is. This is a ville of firsts

First Branch, first car, first only soeurs ville. I'm just super excited!

Other than that this week was bittersweet! Said goodbye to a lot of people.

Saturday I said goodbye to Marie. Update on Marie... There's some complicated things and so she won't be able to be baptized in the near future. But we're working hard with her and she's doing all she can so that she can get baptized. So that's good! Sunday I said goodbye to basically the whole ward. And I gave my first talk!  I guess I did give a talk at Edna's baptism, but the whole ward wasn't there... So yeah, I was really surprised at how well it went. I like didn't even look at my notes. And I was very impressed with my French! I thought back to when I was in angers giving my goodbye testimony. And now after seven months, I gave a 10 minute talk! So that was super cool.

After church we went and ate with Reyna. I had to say goodbye to her too! And the goodbye sucked cause  we were walking to the train and I thought we had missed it, but we got to the quai and it was there so I turned quickly to Reyna gave her a bisou and then I ran as I was yelling je vous aime! So terrible! But before the train doors closed she also got through the pass check thing and she yelled je te telephone! And I said ok, then the doors shut and she was gone. Oh my goodness I was holding back tears on the train

And then we went to Edna's... We had an awesome time, she made a cake for me. And when it was time to leave we hugged for what seemed like 5 minutes and I started crying and this time I couldn't hold it back. I'm going to miss her so much! I cried down the elevator and then we get a call from her saying we left something... So then I had to say goodbye again! It was so sad!

On the other hand church was awesome! We get to church and there's two girls taking pictures in front of the church. Turns out one is from Barcelona and the other is from Peru. And guess what?! They were both baptized at the beginning of August! They happened to find each other one day in the street, found out they were both members and then found the address to the church! How cool is that? Two solid recent converts just got given to us from out of nowhere.

Also Saturday the Paris ward had a fireside about the Book of Mormon. I played the flute for divin amour (our savior's love) with a quartet also. It was super good. All missionaries within the navigo zones were invited. And guess who else? President and Soeur babin. Not only were they invited they spoke. Soeur babin taught the restoration. It was perfect in every way! I stole some of her ideas for my talk. It was so cool! I loved the whole night!

I think that's it for this week. Sorry that it's long! There's a lot to talk about.

Hope you had an amazing week! I love you all!

Gros bisous!
