Lose yourself in the work

HEY!!!! This was a really good week!
Which is a very weird thing since i think we saw the same 3 amis this whole time this week.... But we did a lot of work; So i honestly dont know what happened. Literally we were lost in the work but looking back it seemed like we did nothing! and  we barely even ate in the apartment!
Anyway last pday i went through Notre Dame for the first time!!!!!! and then went to shakespeare and company and bought romeo and juliette :) and then we went to another bookstore and happened to find the unabridged version of les miserables in french... And its a super old copy with drawings from victor hugo of the characters... SO COOL! and i bought it all for 20 €!!!!!!! so yeah happy birthday to me!
Today we went to the Eiffel tower again. Climbed it again... at first when the other soeur said that they were going to the eiffel tower i was like "again..."  but then i realized that i wont be in france forever or even in paris forever on my mission. So i was super happy to do the eiffel tower again! Il faut profiter!!!!!!
Next week my pday is tuesday because all day monday we have a conference.... FOR THE IPADS. So yeah that means we can go to either the catacombs, musee d'orsay, or the palace of versailles. so we'll see what we'll do.
In other words Edna is doing great! went to a baptism for the elders and she loved it, said it gave her chills and that she was excited for hers.
This week we did service at a members wednesday morning, all day thursday, and then friday morning, and friday morning... And her house is still like hiroshima happened in each room. But its okay, we've kinda cleared out 2 rooms now.

By the way this saturday we have musical fireside that we planned. i'm singing and playing the flute. A lot of planning, but its coming together. Even if the members aren't there because its freaking vacation and no one told us until we were half way through planning it...
well love you all, have a great week! BISOUS

Joyeux Anniversaire à Moi!

Oh my goodness I don't even know how to start this week.
We'll start off with just a short list of everything that happened this week
Wednesday/Thursday: Exchanges
Thursday: 9 MONTHS
Friday: Multi-Zone Conference
Saturday: Birthday
Sunday: Continuation of Birthday
What a long week. First of all i apologize, once again i didnt take pictures during my exchange because my camera broke thursday morning... So i'm buying a new one today. But soeur T let me use her camera with my card after the exchanges.
Okay so now what to talk about...
Zone conference was super fun! the stl's showed two clips from finding nemo in their formation. So i got to watch Finding Nemo!!!!! Even if it was just 2 minutes
Okay now the miracle of the week:
So after zone conference we came home and were talking with the other soeurs for a few minutes when we got a phone call from an unknown number. I asked who it was and someone was like "a baptismal date" we all laughed and sr t answered the phone. So like 5 minutes later she comes back... "GUYS GUESS WHAT?! It was a baptismal date who called!!!!!"
So story; Edna has a mom and brother who are members in congo. She's been having a rough time in her life so her mom was like "hey the gospel will help". Basically when we gave her the baptismal date of May 9th she was like "I'M ALREADY READY!" and since that rdv, she's read one brochure a night. So like yeah she's solid
on the other hand our other baptismal date is Martine.... We'll see how she'll progress. We didnt see her last week cause she canceled on us because we had a rdv during exchanges and when i told her that sr t was going to be there she said that she didnt want anyone else to teach her besides sr t and me.... But she miraculously showed up to church! she drove herself for the first time since her accident. But she didnt really like it. During sacrament we didnt sit next to her because we had other people, but we asked a member that she knew  to take care of her. Apparently every time she asked a member a question, he never replied. So she didnt understand what she was supposed to do... She left very quickly only saying that we had abandoned her...
So that's the news for this week. I had a great birthday!!! ate way to much but really! Late lunch at like 2 and cake ( so we finished eating at like 4). Then  Fajitas Dinner at like 7 and then cake ( finished at like 8:30). Then we came home and Surprise the other soeurs had made a cake!!! so yeah it was a lot of food. And I got sung to in Chinese, French, English, Spanish, Tahitian, African (whatever people from congo speak), and malagasy. Thanks for the presents and all the birthday wishes i loved them!!!!!
Love you all and have a great week! BISOUS!

La Conférence Générale

today we took a boat tour of the seine river. It was beautiful! passed by everything, the louvre, eiffel tower, and notre dame. All from a boat- loved it!

General Conference was amazing! I loved the sunday morning session!!! really all of it! I watched saturday morning and women's conference in french, so didnt get much out of it. And then i still havent seen the sunday afternoon session because they broadcasted from 10pm-midnight here in france. so yeah i'll get on that.
But my favorite talks: David a Bednars on fear. SO GOOD also the one given by Dale G Renlund. go read them. My brains super tired after pday so can't really explain exactly what i loved about them. But i really loved them. Oh and then there was the talk by Holland and I cried! So basically reread all of the sunday session

Hey so we have a baptismal date with an ami that we met two weeks ago, i didnt tell you about her last week. But the only thing that will stop her from being baptized may 16th is that she got surgery on both her knees and she hasn't gone through physical therapy yet to walk up or down stairs... So we hope that she can in a month and a half.
I'm sorry this is a really lame but this week was just one of those weeks. Nothing big, but also not terrible.
But this week is going to be awesome!!!!!

Soyez Heureux Toujours (Always Be Happy)

Okay, i have to be really fast in my email.... We sacrificed this pday because we hadnt done our weekly planning and we had no other time to finish it up. You can see our beautiful creation of this weeks planning for the week (and transfer) in the third picture attached below.
this week our recent convert came back from her 3 month long vacation!!!!! but really in december she got baptized on a saturday, received the holy ghost sunday, left monday for cameroon. So i met her for the first time and she's awesome!!!! and she brought us bubu's!!!!! which is the awesome attire that all the africans wear here! but its a cameroon bubu which is not as awesome as the congo bubu's. But still i got my first bubu! and i didnt have to buy it!
This week was awesome in work and all. Had lots of rdv's, and got lots of new amis!!!!! One of them is awesome, she calls herself our mom and she came to the relief society activity on saturday and loved it. Couldn't come to church, but she promised to come next time, and she's super sincere too. She really is the best, but she also can talk forever, so teaching her is a little interesting.

In short this week was really good, but also really hard, but its okay, because this weeks a new week. and even better its general conference, AND EVEN BETTER.... Its EASTER!  I'm so excited to celebrate it on a mission! And really right now everyone go onto the website:

helives.mormon.org
It is such a good video, please go watch it and enjoy it because its amazing. And also find Christ for yourself!!!! I know that christ is there for us. I'm on a mission because i want to help others come unto christ. Please find out who Christ is for yourself. I love him, he is amazing. He knows us all and wants to help others. Come unto him.  All things are possible through him! #BecauseHeLives #ParcequeJesusVit

Love you all! bonne semaine et GROS BISOUS! (Have a good week and "cheek kiss")
