La Tour Eiffel‏

Okay, so this week felt like the longest week ever, but also went by really fast.
So last two pdays were awesome. I climbed the eiffel tower! it was super fun and only 4  euros!!! but we didnt pay for the elevator, so we couldnt go to the very top.
then today we went over by sacré coeur again, but didnt go in. and then montmartre!!! which is where all the paintist are selling their photos, so beautiful! but yeah thats about it...

To start off talking about the week lets talk about the pollution.... TERRIBLE, literally, so polluted this week that the eiffel tower disappeared and it was put in the newspaper... And then the best part, all transport was free from saturday to today. All because of the pollution.
Okay so tuesday we went "mothering". when you go contacting with all the new missionaries on the first day.  except there was only one soeur coming in so we were a trio. But she's super cool. She went to versailles lucky duck!
Then wednesday we help a member from our ward because she's going on a mission to temple square but she's waiting for her visa. So she started with all the new bleus also. So we helped her get to st. merri. Ran into soeur pettingill on the way and so i didnt get the goodbye i wanted :(
the rest of the week went by... we had ate A LOT. pretty much all of our rdv's they made us eat with them... yayaya haha.
But really don't have much else to say either.

1. Last goodbye to Soeur Pettingill :( it was too short

Mini Missionary

Okay so not much time to write sorry, i've been busy organizing my email folders haha....
Okay so i totally forgot to tell you last week but transfers are this week!
so guess what????? SOEUR T IS STAYING!!!!!!!!!!!
So nothing changing here!
Okay so this week we had our mini missionary: Soeur Pettitt from cergy!
It was the best week ever! We had tons of fun and did tons of work...
The tahitian soiree familiale was super fun!!!!!!! but guess what? when my hand was pretty much healed (monday).... I GOT SICK! are you starting to see a theme for this transfer? Wow this was an awesome transfer but at the same time it sucked! Well i hope that i will never have anymore health problems for the rest of my mission. I guess its better that i got it all done in one transfer. But anyway the tahitian sf was super fun besides the fact that i was sick....

We had a birthday party for our ami's daughter and it was a hit!  But our ami doesnt know how to make a cake, so her daughter didnt get a cake for her birthday, so we celebrated it  a few day later and we made the cake with the birthday girl!
Saturday we went bowling with our amis! super fun!!!!

Okay, i don't know what else to say! I don't really have much more time. Sorry! Have a good week!
je vous aime! Gros Bisous!

Accident prone :/

Okay, so not much to say about this week....
Last monday we had rdvs during the day, so our pday was at night... So we went bowling!!!!!!!!!! the other elders were there, but they had to have amis there to stay.... Also our DMP was there cause he left Tuesday to move back to the U.S.
Tuesday district meeting, it was good.
thursday i went to the doctor because the nurse that comes to clean my toe said it was infected and it hurt. The doctor flipped out because the nurse had been giving the wrong advice... so he gave me something to help and now I'm cleaning my own wound. And now its totally healed. Stupid nurse telling me the wrong things.
Okay, so saturday..... so toes are fully healed, so i go to my first samedi sports! we play basketball... I catch the ball wrong and jammed my finger on the right hand. i ignored it and continued to play because we changed to play soccer. So like 3 hours later, my fingers super swollen! so soeur tehoiri is a nurse and wrapped my hand for me. Using a nail filer to keep my finger straight. So that's my new injury...
Sunday we went to church and all the members were sure to point out that i've been injured the entire time that i've been in this ward :/

Then we had dinner with the Ferrezza's! Soeur Ferrezza is from thailand. so we had amazing thai food! and i tried octopus for the first time! It was so gross, never having it again, but i just had to try it so i could say that i've eaten it!
Also Soeur Nilsson was there. She was an old sister missionary that served here and she's from sweden so i got to know her!
Also Soeur Tehoiri's aunt and uncle moved into our sector from tahiti. Her aunt is getting chemo treatment here, so we visited them last week, and we're having a soirée familiale with them tonight!
Okay, well that was my week. Sorry It's short, but we have a member who is staying with us for a week to experience the mission, and i feel bad, she's playing games on her phone as i email....

Love you all! Have a great week! Bisous!

Dig a little deeper

Okay, so what to write about this week?
Well we went to the louvre on monday. We thought there'd be no line, but we forgot that its vacation in france... So we waited an hour, not too bad. We met some new polish amis. talked to them the whole hour. then we obviously went straight to the mona lisa. Also then we went and checked out the greek statue section. And thats all the time we had...
After that this week we had exchanges with the Nancy STLs. So dumb, we live with the Paris STLs but they aren't my STLs. Maybe thats for the best. I went with Soeur Waite... But i totally didnt take
any photos... Sorry! But it was a good exchanged. BUt we were really busy and running everywhere that i had to stay in the rest of the night wednesday because my toe started hurting :/
Okay We had stake conference this weekend! SO GOOD! president Kearon came to speak, and we were able to go to both saturday and sunday meeting! Both were good. In each one he talked about how we have to act on what all the other speakers had said. He used two really cool analogies. The first one was a story of him in Sadi Arabia how he went camping with his dad. THey found an oasis and there was this pipe that fed into a tank. but its own pressure brought the water up. SO he talked about how we have to dig in the right spot and we'll see that blessings flow. The second one was a story about mole hills in his back yard and the way he got rid of them was by digging and trapping the mole. BUt yeah i just loved that message, how we gotta put the effort and dig ourselves and not trust on other resources.
Okay, well have an amazing week love you all!!!!! Bisous!

parlez vous espanol???

Okay i have to go fast because I'm going to the Louvre today and we want as much time as possible.
This week we really didn't do much. We got out of the apartment a lot more, but at the same time each time the infermière comes she says i need to not walk as much. But this is the thing that sucks... I can walk fine without anything hurting, but the more i walk, the longer it'll take for the wound to heal. So i have a dilemma, because I can work, but at the same time I'm not technically supposed to. But we set up a ton of rdv's this week quand même so we'll see how it goes.
Okay, but this week, not much to say...
Sorry this is a super short letter, but i'll just tell you about yesterday.
Emma came to church!!!!! and she said she asked her husband and we can start teaching the whole family! So we'll be doing that this week.
Also versailles elders gave us a coordonée of a girl who showed up last week to their ward, but she lives in our area.  She came to church yesterday. Turns out she went to church for a whole year with her aunt in versailles when she was 8 but then stopped. Never got baptized, so we're starting to teach her too.

And lastly Reyna (less active from mexico) didn't come to church because her phone broke and she couldnt get ahold of the member who was going to go with her. but we had a mangez-vous  at her place scheduled for right after church anyway. So we went, helped her figure out how to fix her phone... It wasn't broken it's just that she had managed to cut off the sound so that no one could hear her... but anyway she's coming to stake conference next week! But yeah the food she made us was super good. Mexican food. Okay so now here in France I've eaten authentic African, Chinese, French (obviously), and now Mexican food. Who knew?!
Oh also can i just say, this week has been a lot of spanish. So many spanish amis/members. Which brings me to why i'm so grateful for my companion! She took spanish in school, so she can talk with our amis in spanish  even if its not much, it still makes them feel more comfortable. which really makes me realize that I know zero spanish... But i'm really good at french now! kinda...
Well I hope you all have a good week! Thanks for all the prayers!  Je vous aime!
GROS BISOUS!

Joyeux Saint Valentin!!!!!

Okay how do I start off with this week...
So last monday I went to sacré coeur!!!!!! SO BEAUTIFUL!
Okay for tuesday i'll share with you a little miracle that happened. Lets go back to my very first transfer when I was in Paris for my legality. I was in the second group to go, so we had an hour to go out contacting, so i grabbed soeur erickson and we went contacting.
We contacted this lady she saw our name tags and was like "you're missionaries?" then she continued to tell us how she was taught by missionaries years ago when she lived in spain. She also said she didn't know that there were sister missionaries and said she'd loved to be taught by them! So i got her name and number. Then I gave them to the soeurs serving in ANTONY. However that was right before transfers so in all the mix up of that they didnt contact her, and i didnt think to call them to make sure they contacted her.
Fast forward to me coming to ANTONY. Its like my 3rd day here and I remembered about Emma, the lady i contacted 6 MONTHS AGO.  so i ask soeur tehoiri "have you ever heard of an Emma Edith?" she said no and then looked in the record books for all the contacts... NOT EVEN IN THERE! So I go to my very first planner and find the number she wrote down in my planner and her name. So I call her and we set up a rdv for tuesday.
Tuesday we meet her at the metro station closest to the church, she shows up with her daughter. And Emma recognized me!!!!! so then we walked to the church and gave her a tour and taught her a lesson and soft invited her to be baptized and she said yes! it was really an amazing lesson! I loved it. She was supposed to come to church on sunday, but she didn't show up :( But I'll keep you updated.
Okay, now to the other half of the week...
Wednesday we get a call from the doctors and we have an appointment to see the anesthesiologist. So we show up and they tell me that actually, they're just going to do the operation today, right then! ok well not right then, i waited like 2 hours but pretty much right then. So they make me change into hospital clothes and then the roll me  into the elevator and down to the surgery rooms.
I almost started laughing. But really, you know in the movies how it looks when they're performing a serious surgery like open heart surgery. That's what it looked like!!! They even were monitoring my heart! but anyway they set everything up all seriously taking like 30 minutes and then they numb my toes and perform the "surgery" within like 10 minutes max. and then they wrap my feet in ginormous bandages. A member came and picked us up and I spent the rest of the night in the apartment.
Okay the next day was zone conference and I could walk, it was just hard because i have giant bandages so (don't laugh)... Our ZL gave me his giant pair of sperry's. So i walked (slowly) to the metro and then from the metro to our meeting. I should have never gone... I don't think i'm going to ever live it up. Don't worry, photos were taken, just not on my camera, so sorry you don't get to see them.
So then we get back from zone conference and the nurse comes to change my bandages to smaller ones.... Oh boy did she get mad at me for walking outside the day after my operation... So she forbade me to leave the apartment for 48 hours.
Friday longest day of my life! saturday was better cause it was valentines day, so we baked goodies all day! and the other soeurs came home and gave us roses and chocolate!!!!!! but we got them by heart attacking their door;
But sunday we went to church and then the other soeurs did exchanges with us cause we had set up two rdvs. so soeur sorenson and i stayed inside and watched ephraims rescue and some other movies. and soeur tehoiri and mason went out and taught the less active lady from mexico!!!!! She's going to come to church next sunday! yay!
So that was my week! I got the permission on saturday to leave the apartment and walk for like 1 hour each day... So yeah the next week will be fun... Love you all and have a good week!
Bisous!!!!

Iaorana!!!! <----- I'm learning tahitian!

Jk i'm still working on french first.
I'm now in Paris!!!! Okay so my week was amazing!!!!!! but at the same time pretty terrible.
Lets start with the bad. Okay so i got ingrown toenails on both of my big toes this past week. Which is fine, i tried to get them out and i couldn't but it still wasnt bad, i called the mission nurse to see  what i could do. She told me a few things blah blah blah. Okay, so transfer days come and ça va my feet are kinda hurting me. But its okay. We take the metro to what we call le plan de salut area at chatelet. I get out of the metro trip over my suitcases (klutz i know) and came down hard hitting my left foot down toes first.... It was almost impossible to walk the rest of the day. So i'm not gonna go into details about how gross my toe looks right now... but i went to the doctors friday and he said that I need surgery on my left toe and might as well take care of the other one at the same time.
Problem, we have to go through the missionary insurance for everything and the office wouldnt let us set up a rdv before going to the insurance. so... I still don't have a rdv for my surgery (today on monday) because the insurance company gets weekends off... But its okay because the doctor gave me stuff to help the pain and everything and so it really doesnt hurt at all now! but it still looks disgusting.... So there's my gross bad part of the week
Good things this week!

1.IT SNOWED A LOT IN ANGERS!!!!! granted it was probably like 1 cm, but it stuck! and it was coming down super hard! So yeah it was amazing!!!! then i got to paris and it snowed too!!! it was weak, but still it was snow.
2. I'M IN PARIS!!!! everyday my companion points out every tourist thing. I see the eiffel tower at a distance everyday! also one of the metro stops that's by our house is right next to the catacombs! even with all the problems with my feet, I haven't been happier in my life. I just can't believe it, I LIVE IN PARIS!
3. We found a less active from mexico! We were doing some contacting and we contacted this one woman, she was not interested at all!  but we kept talking anyway and then soeur tehoiri introduced herself and showed her badge and the lady was like "la Iglesia de Jesu Cristo de los Santos de las ultimas Dias?" and we were like SI!!!!!! and she said "je suis membre!" so then we helped her with her groceries and ate with her. Its been 25 years since she moved to france and the only contact she had with the church since then is when she goes on vacation to mexico and then she goes to church there. So that was super cool that we found her! we're going over next sunday after church! so excited, she's so sweet!
Anyway i love it here in paris and i love soeur tehoiri. We have an absolute blast together. Well I hope you all have a good week. Can't wait to hear about Alicia's baby! Sad I just barely missed it, but i have to go visit paris for pday! duh!!!! Okay well I love you all!
Bonne semaine et gros bisous!
