I'm a killer....

okay so this ones going to be short....

Nothing big happened this week, just a lot of goodbyes for my companion. So weird that she's leaving i can't/don't want to believe it!

BUT we got the news for the transfer....

I'm staying in Antony and my new companion is Sœur Hales and she finishes her mission next transfer... So once again i'll be killing off another missionary!

This'll make 4 transfers in Antony so i don't know if that means Antony Sœurs are getting white washed next transfer or if i'm staying for 5 transfers (7 1/2 months!). i dont know if i want to though. Initial reaction is no i dont want to stay but at the same time i don't want to be whitewashed out! ahhh we'll see. but i still have 6 weeks before i have to worry about that.

Sorry for the lame email. and sorry i took no pictures this week. I love you all! bonne semaine! Gros Bisous!

les miracles à l'église!

hey this week was good!
the elders ami got baptized! WOOHOO!
on other news yesterday was a day of miracles at the church!
1. our less active came to the church for the first time, she made friends with a member, stayed the whole time with the member! Which was good because we had to many people show up to take care of them all.
2. Brigitte (our ami for the past 7 months) came to church for the first time! Not only that, she came all on her own! We invited her the night before but she said she wouldnt come. Well she called us during the first hour and said she was coming. so she came for the second and third hour and loved it. and guess what?! she brought a friend! they both loved church and had a great time and the members were so welcoming to them. PERFECT DAY!
also we showed up in church in the african boubous edna gave us. african theme! Only in paris can you show up to church in that! got tons of compliments!

so yeah thats about all i have to say. today we went and saw l'arc de triomphe (first time for me). and as we were there they started hanging up the french flag under the arch. so cool!
well that was my week! hope you have a good one! je vous aime! bisous!
1. CHRISTIAN GOT BAPTIZED

2. our ami at church (notice me in my boubou!)

3. arc de triomphe with the french flag!

short and sweet :)

okay i have really no time to email this week. Sorry!
It was a good week.
Today we went and ate at a chinese buffet with all soeur T's family that live in the area. So that was super cool!
I dont even know what i did this week.
I went on exchanges in nogent. it was nice! I was with soeur waite again, and this time i got a photo! but it was just nice to be in a different ville, it felt nice and chill. and not stressful.
Also had zone conference! super great! in the ap's formation they chose different companionships to teach them and president and soeur babin. me and soeur t really wanted to teach them! but we didnt get chosen. oh well!

Super excited for next saturday! The elders have a baptism with an ami that has been meeting with them twice a week since one year ago. He's had multiple baptismal dates, but he's sticking to this one. He's so ready!
Okay, well have an amazing week! i love you all!
Bisous!

Soirée de Talent

Hey, not much to say about this week.
It was a week of service, i'll just quickly run through the days
tuesday: worked in our amis garden
wednesday: worked at Blache's house again (member that had hiroshima happen in her house)
thursday: Chez Blanche
Friday: chez Blanche
Saturday: at a different members house, scrubbed grease off the kitchen walls while the elders painted
So that was pretty much my week!!!!! throw in a few rdv's with amis and that's it...
EXCEPT for the talent show that the young men and women put on!

The young women asked us to teach them a tahitian dance, so we did, they didnt like it so we chose a different song and made up a random dance to it.
But soeur T, Kendy (her cousin) and I danced the one we had planned for the young women anyway. Its awesome, attached is a link. I love tahitian dance!!!!! Its so pretty! and then the elders did the tahitian haka, it was so cool! except i forgot to video tape it on my camera because i was too busy filming it for an elder. LAME; don't worry, i'll get it from someone. Also the elders also sang a song, lets just say more than half the acts were the missionaries!
So that was my week. I love you all, have a good week!
je vous aime! BISOUS!!!

Edna's baptism!

HEY it was great to see you all yesterday!
Okay,i just have to explain... Monday we went to Evry which was sr Tehoiri's bleue ville and I ate foufou (from the ivory coast) for the first time. And i didnt just eat it.... I made it! Look at the photo below. You have to crush the bananas planton(?)  in a wooden bowl with a wooden stick. So cool! and then you roll the crushed banana into a ball and you eat it with a sauce and meat (only bad thing was that they chose fish as the meat...) But the rest was super good. Although i think i can only have it like once a transfer...
okay now to the baptism! it went to well! i don't even know where to begin.
All day i was nervous but not at the same time, stressed, but calm. It was weird!
Anyway had tons of stuff to do, the night before i ironed the baptismal clothes, that night i had a dream that i burned them...
then the day of the baptism, got to versailles an hour before the baptism. through together a musical number with the elders and then me playing the flute. took photos, freaked out cause the person who baptized her showed up 5 min late, and then had to change! but its okay, because a lot of members showed up late.
hadnt really put an end to my talk, but i was the first thing after the prayer oh joy. It actually was good, even if the end wasnt really put together well. Sang a musical number, then for the baptism, we got permission to skype her mom and brothers (members). went to try it, they didnt answer, so they didnt get to see it, tant pie.

so then she was baptized... the elders didnt fill up the font all the way, and she's tall, and the member baptizing her was tall. Water literally went up to her knees. haha so she had to bend down really far, and he had to basically lay her on the very bottom of the font. But its okay, only had to do it once!
Then we had the rest of the program, i did the musical number with the flute, turned out good!
Came home, had one hour dinner break, I ate dinner in like 10 minutes and slept for the other 50 and then it was 9pm and time to plan... Wow. who knew how tiring a baptism could be. I don't think i could do that every week.
Sunday she got confirmed and got a calling already! she's in charge of the Liahona for the ward. Making sure that every family is subscribed to it.

Well that was my week. sorry for the long email. I hope you have a great week!
Je vous aime, Bisous!

Disneyland

Okay, this week. Once again went by fast! I literally don't know what we did. But really let me tell a story that happened last night. Had our normal phone call with the district leader and he told me "your companion said the week went by so fast she doesnt even remember what she did last monday" so then i reply " yeah neither do I, well besides the fact that it was pday.... Oh actually i remember everything we did for pday never mind" elder: "sister, monday was the ipad conference... Tuesday was your pday..." OOPS really i think i'm getting memory loss or something;
Okay, other than that Edna is progressing very well! her baptism is this saturday and nothing is going to stop her from it! so that's good. She really has been prepared. Actually her mom (member in congo) has basically done everything for preparing her before she met us ( but seriously i think she has the best gospel library at her home that i've ever seen! and she's not even a member!

Sorry this is a really short email!
Disneyland was so beautiful and awesome and MAGICAL. I loved it
Transfers was hard cause i had to say goodbye to so many people around me but ça va. I'll see them in 8 months.
Yesterday we dropped off a visa waiter at the mission home. First time i went there, it was so beautiful! but talk about a martha stewart magazine. The best part? Office elders tell us we need to be the at 7pm no later... We show up at like 7:07. President isn't there. We stayed 40 minutes in the mission home alone. FUN!

but yeah that was my week! I get to skype you on sunday!!!!!! see you then! Bisous

False Alarm

well lets just start off about the wonderful news of the ipads.... We didnt get them :( So we get to the conference and right off they tell us that the ipads are not here... so we had a 5 hour conference on the ipads that we didnt get wooohooo! but the best part is they got shipped out from holland the day we had our conference. Very good planning there! so we should be getting them soon. But we can never know because we've supposed to have them since last sepetember...
In other words transfers happened this week and the results are..... Soeur Tehoiri is staying for her 5th transfer here in Antony and she'll finish it here. I get to kill her :) so yeah were going on our 3rd transfer together! i'm so excited!
This week went by fast again. I dont even remember what we did...
Still cleaning the members house every morning from 9-1pm. Each room has been cleaned to the point where There's just a LARGE pile of bags in each room, we cant really do much about the bags, the member has to sort through it herself cause its either important documents or clothes. But you can run around the house now!
And Edna continues to progress!!! Really she's golden! Her baptisms in 2 weeks so we're working hard to make it happen!
We had the musical fireside and it turned out perfect! we had more amis there than members. we even got a new ami from it! she stopped in front of the door, looked in and my companion invited her in, she came and then came to church the next day! wooohooo! she's from italy! the first night she thought we were catholic and then after church the next day she thought we were evangelist... We're workin on it.
Well that was basically my week!
I'd just like to close by something that i learned yesterday from the conference. We were talking about agency and the authority told a story about elder bednar. So Elder Bednar was in a conference and a man stated that he had the agency to choose whether or not to go to church. Elder Bednar replied by saying, "you already chose. you've already spent your agency. When you chose to follow God and make covenants with Him, you made your choice. So don't tell me that you have the agency to choose to go to church or not, tell me that you're a covenant breaker"
(an internet search confirmed that, although paraphrased, the point of this quote is accurate)
Okay so its a little harsh, but its so true! We've already made promises to God, we've already made the choice. And we need to be accountable for what we've chosen.
Have an amazing week! I love you all! Bisous!
